The next chapter in the EdApp story – Introducing SC Training
EdApp is getting a new name – one you may recognize.
Our customers now need us for more than mobile-first training. Giving every team member access to the tools they need to be successful every day is often too expensive, slow, and ineffective. We’re fixing that so everything your team needs is in one place.
You can skip ahead to see how these changes will affect you (spoiler: not much for existing customers), but first, let’s dive into the ‘why.’
Giving teams the tools they need to succeed
Eight years ago, we set out to make workplace learning more available to organizations of all sizes.
Traditional learning management systems (LMS) are costly, clunky, and often require technical skills to create essential courses. Big organizations who could afford them needed a more agile solution; and small-to-medium businesses didn’t have the time or resources to build custom training for their teams.
This meant learners often received long, unengaging courses that could only be completed on a desktop computer or delivered in a white-walled room.
So, we set ourselves on a mission to change the way the world learns at work with our mobile-first microlearning platform.
Now, we’re excited to bring you even better features and functionality to help you give your teams the tools they need to succeed with SC Training.

Since we joined SafetyCulture in 2020, we’ve been building our platforms side by side to serve over 70K organizations in 180+ countries and created a set of tools that help frontline teams do their best work, every day.
Now, you can access them all in one platform.
In SC Training, you’ll get all the best bits of EdApp with a few improvements to better suit frontline, deskless teams. (Hello, course creation on mobile and more flexible user groups!)
Plus, you’ll have the option to use SafetyCulture’s wider operational platform and essential workplace tools like:
- Licensing and credentials
- Ability to move between multiple organizations with one email
- Digital checklists and workflows
- Custom video notifications with Heads Up
So you can deliver everything your team needs to do a great job.
So, what does it mean for me?
If you’re an existing EdApp customer…
Not much changes for you and your teams. The EdApp platform will still be EdApp.
You can access your account via admin.edapp.com with your current email and password. Your teams can log in to web.edapp.com or our mobile app with their existing login details.
The only changes you’ll see will be on our website and in our company comms to admins, which will have our new name, logo, and branding.
In the coming months, we’ll be inviting admins to opt-in to SC Training when it’s ready for you.
